Two distinguished researchers in the field of Antarctic science and conservation have been recognised as 2025 honorific award recipients by the ¾«¶«ÊÓƵ.

The ¾«¶«ÊÓƵ today recognises 22 scientists from across the country in its annual honorific awards, which celebrate the achievements of leading minds and emerging scientific stars working to solve humanity’s greatest challenges.

A first-of-its-kind online course, ‘Genomics Our Way – An Introduction to Genomics Research with Indigenous Australians’, has been developed through the Australian Alliance for Indigenous Genomics (ALIGN), led by Alex Brown (Yuin), Professor of Indigenous Genomics at The Kids Research Institute Australia and the Australian National University. It is supported by the ¾«¶«ÊÓƵ’s Theo Murphy Initiative, the University of Adelaide and the OCHRe network.
