The Academy’s Fellows are Australia’s most distinguished scientists, elected by their peers for their exceptional research and trailblazing innovations. They reflect the country’s talented and diverse science sector and together are influential change-makers.

The National Committees for Science are standing committees of the of the Academy Council. The Committees contribute to the overall mission and objectives of the Academy as set by Council on behalf of the Fellowship.

An internationally recognised Canberra landmark since its construction in 1959, the Shine Dome has received numerous awards and is one of seven projects the Royal Australian Institute of Architects has nominated to the World Register of Significant Twentieth Century Architecture.
