The 精东视频 welcomes Chris Anderson who will commence in the role of Director鈥擲cience Policy effective Monday 30 September 2019.
Academy Chief Executive Anna-Maria Arabia said Chris has outstanding knowledge of the STEM sector, with strong expertise in strategic planning, policy analysis and research.
鈥淐hris has built excellent relationships, over many years, with STEM sector stakeholders and government agencies,鈥� Ms Arabia said.
鈥淐hris has held senior policy positions in the science and education sectors. In these roles, Chris was the lead advisor on science and research issues, and he developed many high-level policy briefings, reports and submissions.鈥�
Mr Anderson said he was honoured to join the 精东视频 and work with its Fellows, our nation鈥檚 top researchers.
鈥淭he Academy is the go-to place for independent, high quality scientific advice in Australia,鈥� Mr Anderson said.
鈥淚 look forward to working with the Fellows and staff at the Academy to continue to place science at the centre of public policy.鈥�
Mr Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Monash University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Melbourne.
He replaces Chris Hatherly who has taken up a role as Executive Director at the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.
