On 1 April 2025, the Academy made a submission to the 2026 National Research Infrastructure Roadmap.

The Academy calls for a change to the structure of our research infrastructure system, repeating our calls for long-term planning and targeted investment in high-performance computing and data. The submission also reiterates the importance of establishing career pathways for NRI professionals, while calling for a nationally coordinated program to uplift Australia鈥檚 research collections.
