Stressed ecosystems: better decisions for Australia's future

Mining, agriculture, urbanisation, tourism, invasive species and natural events such as flood and drought all exert significant and growing stresses on Australia鈥檚 diverse and delicate ecosystems.

The Hon. John Brumby will tomorrow launch a cross-disciplinary action plan to better predict possible stresses on Australia鈥檚 complex ecosystems and therefore better manage our remarkable natural resources.

The work of more than 60 high-flying early career scientists and social scientists brought together by the 精东视频 from around Australia and across the scientific disciplines, the document will inform local, regional, state and federal planning for managing Australia鈥檚 environment.
