Twenty-two of the 精东视频鈥檚 National Committee Chairs, along with representatives of the Academy鈥檚 executive, met in Melbourne today to discuss the work of the committees in promoting and setting the strategic direction of their discipline.
The National Committees are representative bodies that help shape their fields and serve as a link between Australian scientists and overseas scientists in the same discipline.
Each committee represents a designated branch of natural science in Australia, including Physics, Earth Sciences, Antarctic Research and Medicine and Public Health. (See the full of National Committees list here).
In the past National Committees have provided strategic advice regarding some of Australia鈥檚 big scientific projects, like the bid for the Square Kilometre Array.
